Compliment of the day from a B24 flight engineer and top turret gunner

I just read the fascinating story about the two B-17's ( http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/09/b-17-bomber-aircraft-had-unique.html )that were locked together in combat over Germany. I was a flight engineer and top turrent gunner on a B-24 with the 446 BG, 8th Airforce and flew on 35bombing missions over German and occupied countries. I can sorta imagine, but  you gotta be there to really know what it was like, and yes they were all Heroes.

Thanks for putting that on the net for all of us ol geezers to read.

  1. Amazing story Jesse, and again I say, so many stories that still to this day are untold. My dear veterans, tell you stories. Let the world hear them. Don't suffer in silence and keep them bottled up.
