I'm hearing a lot of griping about snow in New England... so go plow it with your Harley!

Yeah, this isn't a Harley.... so what? if this Zundapp can do it, so can your Harley! Are you going let the Germans win? Hell No! What would your grand dad say? He'd slap you upside the head and tell you to man up and ride your Harley to victory over the Germans! Damn right he would, so would John Wayne and Chesty Puller!

Are we having fun yet?

  1. I know I may come about as a pedantic pain in the arse, but the bike is an ex-Wehrmacht Zündapp. Which looks a lot like a BMW, but isn't. You can save the day and change the text quickly, before the other pedants write about it.

Thanks for a great blog, btw. I check it two or three times a day.

    1. Thanks! A couple were as nice as you to let me know right quick that I goofed that up... I took a chance, and whammo! right between the eyes !
You don't, not at all. Dennis and Nancy do, OMFG I wanna wipe the pretentious smug right off his face... but you are all right, spot on with a quick fix. Glad you enjoy my stuff enough to keep checking back! Ummm... what causes you to check back so frequently?

    2. A mix of your blog providing excellent entertainment & information, and - as of recently - extra time on my hands caused by long-term sick leave (not life threatening, and I will get better). Once I'm up and running again it'll be once a day.

Wish I could post pics of me and a Polish friend here; 35 years ago he had a side business of restoring WW2 BMWs and Zündapps, and then driving them to The West for resale.

    3. But don't feel bad about the mistake. I went to Sturgis Bike Week in 1982, and heard people mistake an MZ BK350 for a BMW. That's a two stroke 350 cc boxer that says MZ on the gas tank.

  3. A motorcycle could actually be a halfway decent plow vehicle for smaller snows. They have plenty of power, they're very maneuverable, they allow for excellent visibility, they are very compact, and they have no roof so they could fit under low hanging tree branches. There's just one problem. Most bikes have no reverse. When plowing snow, you spend almost as much time in reverse as you do in forward.
