Oil is now cheaper than the last low point of 2009... but gas costs 50%. Pretty obvious that we are getting screwed

WTI hit $34.29 a barrel, the lowest since February 2009, after the release of the Baker Hughes' report. It settled the day down 22 cents, or 0.6 percent, at $34.73.

  1. Our local gas station is only $1.72. Did gas get down to less than a dollar in 2009?

    1. I don't know what your local gas station cost in 2009 Kelly, I know what mine did, 1.39, because I took a photo and posted it. Well, right now gas is 2.79 at that gas station. So, what I said id factually correct for me. That is all it has to be. Quibbling about it doesn't change the point, that oil is cheaper, and gas is double, or near twice, for nearly everyone. Maybe not for everyone, everywhere, but some people believe in UFOs and ghosts too... so, there is no way to prove anything to some people.

    2. Whoops, my mistake, and poor memory. We paid 1.91, and now we pay 2.79. So, we pay 50% more. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2015/08/oil-prices-per-barrel-38-lowest-in-6.html
